TDAP: seven funded projects
Seven Nova Scotia tourism businesses, one program, and work that's still paying off.

The challenge
Every one of these businesses had digital work it knew it needed and a season to run. TDAP pays for that work in full, up to $5,000 per business, if the application is approved.
The work starts with the application. The program is competitive and scored, so we scope each project to fit the caps and the criteria: what the panel looks for, what the money can and can’t cover, and what can be finished by March 31. Then we write the application with the business, and once it’s approved, we build it.
The projects look different because the businesses are different: an inn that needed to look its age in the best way, a restaurant group with four brands to bring together, cabins that needed to be found, a B&B that wanted to run its own site, a bike shop that needed bookings to run themselves, a brewery that needed a site and photos good enough to last, and a trail that needed a home online.
What we did
- 01
The Lunenburg Inn
New branding, a new website and new photography, so the inn looks online the way it feels in person.
- 02
Kitch'Inn Hospitality Group
Several years of work: one WordPress site that showcases all four of its brands, SEO, Google Business Profile, Gmail and email signatures, graphic design and social graphics.
- 03
Black Forest Cabins
A website redesign built to be found: SEO first, new schema so search engines understand the cabins, and a Google Business Profile to match.
- 04
The Lark & Loon Inn
A new logo and branding, and a new website on Squarespace. We taught the owners to run it, then handed it over.
- 05
Sweet Ride Cycling
A new website with a new booking system on Bookable, so riders can book without a phone call.
- 06
Tanner Brewing
A new website and new photography, both still in use four years later.
- 07
Bay to Bay Trail
An entirely new website for the trail between Mahone Bay and Lunenburg.
The result
Seven businesses got work they needed, scoped to fit the program and paid for by it. Some we still look after, like Kitch'Inn, year after year. Some we set up to run themselves, like The Lark & Loon. And four years on, Tanner Brewing is still using the website and photos TDAP paid for.
Results
- 7tourism businesses, funded through TDAP
- 4brands under one Kitch'Inn site
- 4 yearsand Tanner Brewing's site and photos are still in use
